Apolinar Campos

Apolinar Ortiz Campos , age 92, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 8, 1923 to Jose and Juanita Ortiz in San Marcos, Texas. Apolinar was married 50 years to the late Roman Sr. She was a devoted Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s parish. She loved to garden, seamstress and was a volunteer for March of Dimes. Apolinar was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Apolinar is survived by three sons, Ruben (Rosalinda) Campos of West Chicago, Roman Jr. of West Chicago and Roberto (Alejandra) Campos of Aurora; four daughters, Virginia Ortiz Campos of West Chicago, Mary Rita (John) Kent of Aurora, Lydia (Oscar) Flores of West Chicago and Irene (Jesus) Macias of Batavia; grandchildren, Ruben Campos, David (Quenby) Campos, Julian Campos (Lucy Alfaro), Jaime Michael Campos, Jannell C. (Tobias) King, John W. Kent IV, Latrice (Clemon) Jones Clay, Olivia Flores, Steve (Denise) Flores, Angela Flores, Jesus C. Macias Jr. (Carina Tejada), Joseph D. (Ana) Macias, SPC Ricardo L. Macias, Alejandra Hernandez, Teresa (Jaime) Limon and Francisco Hernandez; great-grandchildren Cameron, Zoe, Antonio, Austin, Cooper, Tracey, Elisa, Lilianna, Enrique, Javier, Alondra, Daniela, Romeo, Azalea, Tiana, Terrence, Clemon, Jasmine, Mason and Mateo; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Rios Campos Sr.; sons, Romeo and Reynaldo; siblings, Candelario, Manuel, Pedro, Daniel, Concha and Theresa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 3 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Prayers Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary’s Church in West Chicago. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery in West Chicago.
