Betty Ford

Betty J. Ford, age 91, of Monroe, OH, passed away Thursday April 1, 2021. She was born in Rolfe, Iowa, on June 22, 1929, to the late Irene (Fisher) and Joseph McNaughton. She was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed family gatherings and visiting the grandchildren. She especially enjoyed playing cards and board games with the grandchildren. She was a loyal employee of JCPenney for over 38 yrs. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret and brother Leland, husband Lynal Root (’48-’72), husband Richard Ford, son Randall, daughter Kathy (Mann), grandson Travis Massie, 2 great grandchildren- Destinee and James (Schildmeier) Baker. She is survived by 2 daughters, Connie Root (Wayne) Schildmeier and Diane Root (Timothy)Massie; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Glen Oak Cemetery , Arbor Ave, West Chicago, Illinois at 1 p.m. Please share condolences at www.norrissegertfh.com.
