Betty Neumann

Betty J. Neumann, age 89, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014. She was born on September 23, 1924 in Granby, Missouri to Alvin and Violet Haworth. Betty was a founding member of Faith Community Church in West Chicago, along with her late husband Earl, and member of the Bible study group. She worked for many years at the former Hinsdale Federal Savings and Loan in West Chicago and previous to that at Conley Pharmacy. Betty was an avid reader and member of the West Chicago Garden Club and West Chicago Historical Society.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Judy) of St. Charles, Glenn of Chicago and Becky (Bill) Eeds of Louisville, CO; grandchildren, Todd (Suzanne) of Elkhorn, WI and Kelly of McGaheysville, VA; great-grandson, Benjamin Patrick; sister, Bernadine Crews and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Earl in 2001.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM until time of memorial service at 11:30 AM at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago. Pastor Shane Sterk officiating.
