Carolyn Neltnor

Carolyn S. Neltnor , age 92, lifelong resident of West Chicago, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. She was born on July 1, 1923 in West Chicago IL to John M. and Agnes F. Smith and was united in marriage on April 12, 1946 to Louis J. “Huck” Neltnor Jr. She was a WWII US Army Nurse veteran serving at Okinawa. Carolyn enjoyed many activities which included walking, fishing and bike riding.
She is survived by her children; Nancy Adams, Gary (Lynn) Neltnor, John (Cindy) Neltnor, Barbara Walter, Jeanne Neltnor (late David Meehan) and Paula (Randy) McShane; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis “Huck”; son, Donald; and sister Charlotte Tinnes.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015, from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago, Pastor Shane Sterk officiating.
