Catherine Rzeszotarski

Catherine Rzeszotarski (nee Zarate), age 95, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born on August 28, 1928 in West Chicago to Jacob and Emeteria Zarate. She attended St Mary’s grammar school in West Chicago. Catherine was united in marriage on December 1, 1951 to Robert Rzeszotarski. She worked for many years as an executive secretary for Draper Daniels in downtown Chicago. Catherine enjoyed reading and painting and was a great Chicago Cubs fan. She was a loving sister and aunt.

Catherine survived by her many nieces, nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, special friends, Kris Block and Olga Zamarripa, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bob, brothers, Leon (late Arlene) Zarate and Modesto “Mo” (late Marion) Zarate and sister Jane Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 164 N. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove. In lieu of flowers donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to Easter Seals or Disabled American Veterans.
