Donna J. Huizinga

Donna J. Huizinga, age 78, of North Aurora, passed away on February 16, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Ellen Schmitt. Donna was a loving mom who worked hard to support her family and loved to read, dance and spending time with friends and family. In her later years, she spent most of her time with her grandchildren and traveling.

Donna is survived by her husband, Wayne Lofton, Sr.; children, Morinne Komperda, Edmond Marcotte, Jason Huizinga, Wayne (Lisa) Lofton, Wendy Lofton (Phil Johanson), Matt (Becky) Lofton and Shawn (Melissa) Lofton; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Onasch and Arlene Carreon; best friends Marge and Jerry Day and relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Sharon Loftis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago (One block north of Washington St. & Main St). A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Interment private. Contributions in Donna’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
