Edward Dierking

Edward M. Dierking, age 77, of Batavia, US Army Veteran, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010. He was born in West Chicago on October 31, 1933 to Paul and Anna Dierking. Ed was united in marriage on August 14, 1954 to Loane Dettmann. He worked for the city of West Chicago and retired after many years. Ed enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Edward is survived by his wife Loane of 56 years; one son; Scott (Erin) Dierking of Wheaton; two daughters; Lonnie (Douglas) Schmidt of West Chicago and Jeni (Peter) Siekmann of West Chicago; nine grandchildren; Caitlin (Brad) Schamel, Danny and Shane Dierking; Kara, Jamie and Jessica Schmidt and Kelly, John and Jim Siekmann; one brother; Bob Dierking and many other loving family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago. He will lie in state on Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 331 George St., West Chicago. Rev David Balla officiating. Interment Udina Cemetery in Elgin.
