Elaine Stark

Elaine Dieter Stark , age 95, a longtime resident of Cloverdale, DuPage County passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Central DuPage Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1926, in Wheaton, IL to the late Nicholas and Anna (Mahosky) Dieter. Elaine was united in marriage on October 4, 1947, to Warren E. Stark. She was a loving mother of 9 and taught them all the gift of family and faith. Elaine was a former member and Regent of Court St. Therese of the Little Flower of the Catholic Daughters of Americas at St. Isidore Church for many years.  She also was a leader of Cloverdale Maidens and This and That 4-H Clubs. She loved sewing, crocheting, canning, gardening and she especially loved her family.

Elaine is survived by her children, Linda (late Charles) Gruber, James (Carla) Stark, Janice (Don) Prill, Nancy (Scott) Shirley, Peggy Whitman, Mary Alice Stark, and Laura Stark; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Anna Dieter; husband, Warren Stark in 1994; sons, Robert, and Thomas; grandsons, Donald, and Gregory; son-in-law, Charles; sister, Dorothy (Kenneth) Kimes; brothers, Donald (Sally) Dieter and Reverend Gregory Dieter, O.S.B.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago, IL. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at St. Isidore Church (Chapel-Old Church) , 427 W.
