Guadalupe Arellano

Guadalupe Arellano, age 91, passed away on February 17, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1930 in Iliff, Colorado to Domingo and Santos Arellano. He worked at General Mills for a few years, then worked for many summers and weekends at DuPage County Fairgrounds and 19 years at Cantigny Park.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Lydia Arellano (Pasillas); children, Hector Arellano (Rosalinda Pedroza), Silvia Solis (Mariano Solis), Fernando Arellano (Irene Solis), Guadalupe Arellano (Guillermina Olague), Norma Cabral (Francisco Cabral). Eva Zarndt (Daniel Zarndt) and Victor Arellano (Xochilt Colorado); 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Juan Arellano and Gabriel Arellano and sister Antonia Arellano.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont Street (One block north of Washington St. & Main St.) Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Church , 164 N. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago, IL at 11:00 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery .
