James Holderman

James L. Holderman , age 66, of Sandwich and formerly of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017.  He was born on August 20, 1951 in Kankakee, IL to Dale and Marilyn Holderman. Jim was fondly known as “Shoes” by his friends. He graduated from West Chicago Community High School. Jim was united in marriage on February 9, 1990 to Mary Ann Hays. He worked for many years as a contractor in construction. He enjoyed seeing new things and new places and in his later years, he enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, of  27 years; stepchildren, Jason Schmidt and Andrea Froehlke; grandchildren, Channing, Brian, Sarah, Collin and Grace; brother, David Holderman; and relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont Street, West Chicago (one block north of Washington St. & Main Street).
