James Jones

James Forrest Jones , age 66, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on August 27, 2018. He was born in Peru, IL on April 22, 1952 to James and Marie Jones. Jim was united in marriage on May 18, 1974 to Rita Hansen. He was a salesman for many years in the power equipment industry. Jim was a member of the AL Post 300 Sons of the Legion, West Chicago Lions Club, ILCA, former Commissioner with the West Chicago Park District and former Director with the Community High School District 94 Educational Foundation. He was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan who loved golfing and especially loved his family.

Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita; children, Kathryn (Lirim) Eshtrefi, Brian (Kathryn) Jones and Megan (Camrin) Petramale; grandsons, Adem, Emri, James and Theodore; brother, Jeffery (Amie) Jones; many nieces; nephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (1 block north of Washington & Main) West Chicago. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church , 164 N. Oakwood, West Chicago.
