Jaxon Romeo Maya Gill, age 17, passed away on January 6, 2025. 

Jaxon was a cherished soul who brought light and love to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but the joy he brought to our lives will remain forever in our hearts. May he find everlasting peace and love in the arms of God.

Jaxon had a heart full of kindness and love, always radiating warmth and joy to those around him. His family was his greatest treasure, and he found immense happiness in their company. Whether it was sharing stories, creating memories, or simply enjoying each other’s presence, Jaxon’s love for his family was boundless.

A brilliant mind and vibrant spirit defined Jaxon. He had a deep passion for learning and loved the challenge of playing chess and solving puzzles. Nature held a special place in his heart, and he found peace and wonder in exploring the outdoors and going on walks. Music filled his soul, and he cherished moments spent listening to his favorite tunes.

Jaxon also found joy in games of all kinds. Whether playing video games or board games, solo adventures or family game nights, his playful energy made every moment unforgettable. He loved watching football, shooting hoops on the basketball court, and turning ordinary evenings into extraordinary ones with his infectious laughter and fun-loving nature.

Known for his playful sense of humor, Jaxon’s goofy and lighthearted personality was a gift to everyone he met. His ability to make others smile and feel at ease was truly remarkable, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

Jaxon’s legacy is one of love, joy, and the unshakable bond of family and friendship. While his physical presence is no longer with us, the beautiful memories and the light he brought into our lives will shine brightly forever. 

Jaxson is survived by his mother, Nancy (stepfather, Thomas); father, Brian (stepmother, Candice); sister, Sonja; stepsister, Mia; grandparents; relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Jaxon's life will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago.
