Jerome 'Jerry' Dolan

Jerome “Jerry” H. Dolan , age 78, of West Chicago, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born on December 24, 1942, in Chicago, IL to John and Hazel Dolan. Jerry was united in marriage on August 23, 1986, to Lori Chassee. Jerry had a dedicated 30-year career in law enforcement with the Addison Police Department, West Chicago Police Department and finally with the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). He enjoyed golfing, watching John Wayne movies and was a dedicated Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears fan. Nothing brought him more joy than the dogs with whom he shared his life, often asking for pictures and videos of Murphy, Angel, Nestlé and Hudson even to his last day. He also enjoyed discussing politics with anyone who would listen.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 34 years of marriage, Lori Chassee; children, Rebecca (Darren) Dolan Gordon, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Griffin and Christopher (Misha) Dolan; grandchildren, Jared Gordon, Mackenzie Griffin, and Aurelia Griffin; and relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Dolan.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. & Main Street), West Chicago. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
