John Johnson

John H. Johnson, age 98, of St. Charles, former long time resident of West Chicago, passed away September 14, 2010 at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles. He was born on April 22, 1912, in Bartlett, IL to John and Mary Johnson. John was a farmer for many years in Bartlett and Glen Ellyn. He then worked in the water department for the city of West Chicago for over 30 years finally retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his three children; Lyla (Roy) Wilson of West Chicago, Lawrence (Ann) Johnson of St. Charles and Leroy (Martha) Johnson of Geneva; daughter-in-law Nancy Zarndt of Geneva; grandchildren; Scott (Robyn) Wilson, Shawn (Shelby) Wilson, Sheila (Frank) Kuranda, Chris Johnson, Denise (Al) Davidson, Vickie Johnson, Pattie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Jeff (Kerry) Johnson, Holly Franck, Shelly (Paul) Johnson, Valerie Zarndt, Daniel (Eva) Zarndt, Thomas (Mary Beth) Zarndt; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother; Earl Johnson of Burlington, WI; sister; Mary Arens of North Aurora.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary; wife Edna in 1997; son Lloyd Zarndt and grandson Richard Wilson.
