Kathleen Ann Nemecek

Kathleen A. Nemecek, age 95, passed away on July 24, 2022. She was born on April 20, 1927 in Chicago, IL to James and Laura O’Connor. She was united in marriage on September 25, 1948 to Charles Nemecek. Kathleen loved to cook, play bingo, and was a great fan of the Chicago Cubs. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and she was an active member in the parishes she belonged. Kathleen loved her family above all. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She had a smile for everyone and never said a bad word about anyone. Kathleen is survived by her son Jack Nemecek (Tony), daughter Patty Linsenmeyer, daughter in law Carol Kilby. Grandchildren: Charles (Stephanie), Christopher, Erin, Jeff, Jenny (Besset), and Melanie (Andy). Great-grandchildren: Desiree, Kerry, Caitlyn, Brianna, Ryan, Anthony, Ellie, Charlie, Adam, Michael, Katie, Ben, and Sarah. Great-great- granddaughter Maddie. Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son Charles (Suzzanne), and the O’Connor siblings MaryEllen, Charlotte, Jim, Jack, Virg, and Larry. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 30W350 Army Trail Road, Wayne, IL at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon at VFW Post 6791, 431 Neltnor Blvd (Rt 59), West Chicago will follow the service.
