Loane "Loie" Marie Dierking

Loane "Loie" Dierking, a lifelong resident of West Chicago and devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, passed away rather suddenly on October 8th, 2024, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois. Her passing came two months after a fall that resulted in a broken hip, leading to complications.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her sister, and her husband, Edward. Loie is survived by her three children: Scott Dierking and his wife Erin, Lonna "Lonnie" and her husband Doug Schmidt, and Jeni and her husband Peter Siekmann. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Loie was known for her dedication to the church as both the organist and a member of the choir, actively supporting various church activities. She was always willing to help wherever it was needed in the church and was a cherished presence in the congregation.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 328 George St., West Chicago, IL on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m., with the service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Udina Cemetery in Udina, IL.

In lieu of flowers, for those that are so inclined, donations to Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 328 George St, West Chicago, IL 60185, in Loie’s memory would be most appreciated.
