Louis Neltnor Jr

Louis J. “Huck” Neltnor Jr. , age 92, lifelong resident of West Chicago, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. He was born on October 14, 1922 in Geneva, IL to Louis and Marietta Neltnor Sr. Louis was united in marriage on April 12, 1946 to Carolyn Smith. He was a WWII US Marine Corp veteran serving in the South Pacific and at Iwo Jima. Louis had many hobbies which included fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carolyn; children, Nancy Adams, Gary (Lynn) Neltnor, John (Cindy) Neltnor, Barbara Walter, Jeanne Neltnor (late David Meehan) and Paula (Randy) McShane; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald; and brothers, Carroll and Jesse.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 2 PM until time of memorial service at 4 PM with military honors at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago, Pastor Shane Sterk officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago, IL 60185.
