Micaela Alfaro

Micaela E. Alfaro (Soto) , age 94, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020. She was born on May 8, 1926 to Catarino and Rita Soto in McAllen, Texas. Micaela loved gardening, loved nature, and loved her family greatly.

Micaela is survived by her children, Juan, Hector (Teresa), Eriberto (Louise), Adelaida, Veronica, Maria (Douglas) Lohman, David (Sue), Rosa (Joe) Meszaros; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan; parents; three brothers and five sisters.

Due to the current situation all services will be held privately, and burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in West Chicago. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Church in West Chicago.
