Myrtie A. Juzwiak , age 94, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was born on August 5, 1920 in Granville, IL to Reuben and Emma Packingham. Myrtie was united in marriage in 1944 to the late Edmund Juzwiak. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in West Chicago. Myrtie was a homemaker and was very active through the years bowling, playing tennis, swimming or biking with her family.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Deborah) Juzwiak of West Chicago, Bonnie (Tom) Saylor of Winfield and Catherine (John) Balint of Aurora; grandchildren, Shannon (Donald) Thompson, Tommy (Emily) Saylor, Jennifer Saylor, Jocelyn Balint and Samantha Balint; great-grandchildren, Hannah Thompson, Addison and Zoey Saylor; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sister, Mary Packingham; and brother, Russ (Helen) Cotie.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church, 643 E. Washington St., West Chicago . Reverend Tim Mitchell will officiate. Interment private.
