Olympia Fokta

Olympia M. Fokta , nee Moreno, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015. Born on September 15, 1934, on the Westside of Chicago to the late Edward and Abigail Moreno. Beloved sister to Victor Moreno, and preceded in death by sisters Laura Mojica and Abigail “Rosie” de Alba. Devoted wife to the late Frank J. Fokta. Loving mother to her son Frank. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Olympia held administrative positions in the medical field and was a 20 year resident of West Chicago. She was a dedicated and active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Catholic Church. Olympia will forever be remembered as a kind and loving person that cherished God, family and friends above all.
Visitation on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 3 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Prayers Friday, June 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary’s Church, 164 N. Oakwood, West Chicago. Mass 10 a.m.
Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
