Ralph Henrikson

July 16, 1925 — February 22, 2011

Ralph C. Henrikson, age 85, of Winfield, formerly of West Chicago, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011. He was born in West Chicago on July 16, 1925, to Harold and Clara Henrikson. Ralph graduated from West Chicago High School and attended University of Illinois before entering into the U.S. Army during WWII. Ralph was united in marriage on March 6, 1953, to Marianne Zeier. He worked with his father in the masonry business and took over the family business after his father retired. Ralph was a past commander and lifetime member of the American Legion Post 300 in West Chicago. Ralph loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan.
Ralph is survived by his wife Marianne of 57 years; two daughters, Cindy (Don) Voelz of West Chicago and Amy Kaylor of Winfield; four grandchildren, Kelly and Dan Kaylor and Courtney and Jamie Voelz; sister, Verna Cannell; son-in-law, Corey Kaylor; four nieces; and, one nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 3:30 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. West Chicago. Interment Private.
