Raymond Arthur Austin

Raymond Arthur Austin, age 76, of West Chicago, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 22, 1947, to Russell and Mary Austin. He was a US Army Vietnam Combat Veteran with the 25^th Infantry Division. Ray and his wife Debbie (Inch) have been together for 51 years. He loved spending time with his dog Honey, the Chicago Bears (there’s always next season), fishing (catching seaweed), playing his guitar (Elvis and blues riffs), cooking ribs but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Ray is survived by his wife Debbie; children, Steven (Andrea) Austin, Tanya Austin (Steven Bennett), Robert Austin (Iliana Guzman Monge) and Christine Austin; grandchildren, Liam Arthur Austin Guzman, Piper Feldpausch and Alex Austin; and relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and grandson, Samuel Austin.
