Richard Rolseth

Richard A. Rolseth , age 79, of West Chicago, passed away February 11, 2021. He was born on April 20, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Thorvald and Ruth Rolseth. Rich was united in marriage on November 11, 1961 to Shirley Kolzow. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago. He worked as a Forestry Supervisor for the Village of Lombard where he retired. Rich was a member of Oak Park Sportsman’s Club where he loved cowboy action shoots. He was a volunteer at Gary School in West Chicago. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family dearly.

Rich is survived by his children, Robert (Marilyn) Rolseth, Michael (Teri) Rolseth and Nancy Rolseth; grandchildren; Susan, Steven (Danielle), Scott, Becky, Alex and Missy; great-granddaughter, Lily; sister, Marge (late Ron) Cermak; and relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley of 58 years of marriage who passed away in January 2020; sister, Ruth (Bob) Weakland and brother, Bill (Bella) Rolseth.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. & Main Street), West Chicago. Funeral Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Fred Gaede officiating. Interment Private.
