Robert Chasteen

Robert V. Chasteen, age 86, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was born on October 2, 1926 in Johnston City, IL to Otto and Anna Chasteen. Bob was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He was united in marriage on March 20, 1948 to Nadene Eberhardt. Bob was a carpenter who enjoyed working and had a great love for animals.
Bob is survived by his son, John Robert (Geri) Chasteen of LaValle, WI, and daughter, Sandra (Gerald) Weiland of Geneva; two grandchildren; Robert (Jill) Chasteen and Crystal Revord; one great-granddaughter, Morgan; sisters, Edna (Robert) Savant and Virginia Richison: beloved Yorkshire Terrier; and nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadene in 2010; and brother, Bert Chasteen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 25, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Geneva, 2300 South St., Geneva at 11 am. Interment Private.
