Ruby Simmons

Ruby J. Simmons, age 88, of Bartlett, formerly of West Chicago, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008. She was a homemaker, dedicated mother, owner of Robbie's Closet woman's apparel store, an active member of the West Chicago Historical Society, the Geneva Community Hospital Woman's Auxiliary, the West Chicago Chamber of Commerce and many other community organizations.
Ruby is survived by two sons Reid (Margo) Simmons of Wheaton and Craig (Kitty) Simmons of So. Beloit, IL; two daughters Jane (Gary) Cotie of West Chicago and Robin (Paul) Elson of West Chicago; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin, Jane, Jennifer, Brad, Kobie, Karri, Kristi, Brandon, Brian, Scott, Paul Jr., Jessie, Joe and twelve great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn in 1989, special friend Don Molzen and grandson Devon Cotie.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago; Chaplain Jan Izzo officiating.
