Sherrie Kaye Ayers

Sherrie Kaye Ayers (Smith), age 57, of West Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 21, 1966 in St. Charles, IL to Leslie “Les” and Leeina (Lovellette) Smith. Sherrie was a wonderful daughter, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She loved spending time with her family and loved them dearly.

Sherrie is survived by her mother Leeina Smith; children, Matthew (Jessica) Ayers, Chrystal Ayers (DeAnté Gerald), Billy (Karli) Ayers; eight grandchildren, Brooke, Ashlyn, Easton, Ryker, Aniyah, DeAnté Jr., Zaiden, and Shailey; brother, Richard (Brenda) Smith; sister, Shelly Smith, and loved by many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Les Smith in 2015, nephew, Tony Manchester in 2008, and grandmother, Mabel Lovellette in 2002.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago.  A service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Sue Ebersold officiating. Interment Private.
