Vernon Joseph Jackman

Vernon Joseph Jackman, age 57, of West Chicago, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was born on August 13, 1965, in Romeo, Michigan to Richard and Nina Jackman. Vern was a very outgoing person who helped everyone. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, model railroad trains and was a Detroit Red Wings Fan. He enjoyed fixing everything and working in his garage, but what he loved the most was the Lord.

Vern is survived by his wife Dianne Jackman; children, Renee (Bob) Domenz, Keith (Julie) Wilson, Brian (Erin) Wilson, Sarah (Jeremy) Conklin and Melissa Jackman; grandchildren, Chris, Hannah, Faith, Aubrey, Aiden, Ethan, Vance, Sarah Grace, Emily Ann, Kaiden, and Mateo; 12 brothers and sisters; many nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers, Thomas, John, and Kenneth.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services (one block north of Washington St. and Main), 132 Fremont St., West Chicago. Funeral service on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating Sherrill Cox. Interment will follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
