Victoria M. Boyle, age 67, of Winfield, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born on May 19, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Stephen and Mary Szulc. Victoria was united in marriage on August 27, 1966 to Daniel Boyle, whom she met at a dance at the age of 16. She formerly was an Executive Secretary for West Suburban Hospital and AT&T in Lisle, and volunteered for many years at Central DuPage Hospital and ESSE Adult Care Center in Wheaton. Victoria had a special love for her grandchildren, and she enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, listening to music, and the love and companionship of her family's dogs. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Victoria is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel P. Boyle DVM; two daughters, Shannon (Robert) Duppler of St. Charles and Brenda (David) Baker of Oswego; one son, Daniel Jr. (Julie) Boyle of Downers Grove; ten grandchildren, Christine, Robyn, Kelly and Ryan Duppler; Hannah, Bella and Griffin Baker; and Daniel III, Kaitlin and Raechel Boyle; and one great-grandson, Noah Duppler (affectionately known as "Max"); nieces and nephews, and her companion dogs, Penny, Cedar and Sweet.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Stephen Jr.
Visitation Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 2 to 9 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Prayers, Friday, August 24, 2012 at 9:15 am from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Church in Winfield. Mass 10 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
